The term pulmonary hypertension (PH) refers to high blood pressure in the lungs from any cause. In regular hypertension (also known as high blood pressure), the arteries throughout the body are constricted. PH affects only the blood vessels in the lungs and the right side of the heart. So, what is the difference between pulmonary hypertension (PH) and pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH)? Pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) is a rare cause of high blood pressure in the lungs that is a chronic and incurable disease that causes the walls of the arteries to tighten and stiffen.View All Recent News
